How to Prep Your Body For CoolSculpting

In previous posts, we’ve discussed what an ideal CoolSculpting candidate looks like, and why they should be within 30 pounds of their target weight prior to undergoing this non-invasive and pain-free procedure.  For some, reaching this target weight can seem daunting and virtually unachievable.  Today, we’d like to offer some lifestyle tips our clients have had success with, in hopes of helping you to be one step closer to your desired body type and to a happier you.

If you are displeased with your current weight, and wish to benefit from CoolSculpting, then you have mentally taken that first step towards achieving your goal.  However, the most well-known adages pertaining to weight loss, healthy diet and exercise can often deter even the most disciplined person from making good decisions in terms of food and fitness routine.  Below we will discuss a few time-tested and sure fire ways in which you can begin to change your life for the better, prior to visiting our office for your CoolSculpting.

Healthy Eating is a MUST.

While genetic predispositions to weight gain, stress in the work or home environment, and lack of nutritional conveniences all play a part in gradual weight gain and body dissatisfaction, there are a few ways in which you can adjust your eating habits to counter the weight loss obstacles you face.

Watch the Carbs!

In today’s world, there is a substitute for everything.  From sugar to meat to dairy, healthier options are being made available to the masses.  Carbohydrates – specifically simple carbs – are well-known for reducing good cholesterol, causing higher blood pressure and increasing the amount of fat in your blood; many things you don’t want happening in your body.

To combat these negative side-effects, we posit that substituting the most common grains for either whole-grain options or vegetable substitutes is an easy and often fun way of eating healthy.  For example, rather than going for that bog bowl of traditional chicken alfredo, swap out the pasta for spaghetti squash or zucchini noodles.  You’d be surprised at how tasty and satisfying these substitutions are!

Additionally, grain-free and gluten free breads are gaining popularity amid the competition of white flour offerings.  Often, grain or gluten free breads contain much needed protein, antioxidants and other compounds that promote overall health and weight stabilization.

Fall In Love with Veggies!

Because our parents force fed us broccoli and carrots as children, many of us now associate veggies with weird textures, undesirable flavors and an overall unsatisfactory dining experience.  It’s time to uproot these notions to make way for a love of vegetables.

When properly cooked and seasoned, vegetables, alongside a healthy protein such as fish or chicken, offer a delectable addition, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle.  As a side, try cooking cauliflower rice in lieu of white rice, or opt for baked sweet potatoes over French fries.  For healthy and delicious recipes that are easy and fit any budget, visit any of these sites:

You Need to Get Your Body Moving.

The fact is, some of us just hate working out.  If you were a fitness model with a perfect figure, you probably wouldn’t have need for our CoolSculpting service.  No one’s body is perfect, and every person struggles with image.  And while eating properly steers you toward the direction of a healthy and happy body, it is important to get your body moving.

Although weightlifting and traditional cardiovascular exercises like running or biking are popular modes of exercise, they are not the only answer.  For those of you who wish to be more active but cringe at the idea of a habitual workout routine, there are several solutions.

Try a Zumba Class!

Zumba is the type of dance exercise class that requires you leave your ego and troubles at the door.  Dance fitness has revolutionized the exercise industry, and has provided men and women across the globe with a fun and vibrant activity.

People of all ages, genders and nationalities are welcome to come together and dance while toning their muscles, increasing flexibility and partaking in cardio.  For more information about Zumba, and how to find a class near you, click here.

Invest in New Office Furniture

While taking time out of your day to visit your local gym or to take a brisk walk is optimal, there are a few simple things you can change in the workplace to assist with weight loss that don’t require additional time.  First, rather than sitting in an office chair for 8+ hours, straining your back and depriving your body of muscle stimulation, invest in a ball office chair.  These “chairs” help to continually engage your core and to silently burn calories while you work.

Another way to promote weight loss in the workplace is to forego the standard sitting desk and invest in a standing desk.  These platforms lift upward and allow you to stand while working at your computer, thus causing you to engage your leg muscles throughout the day.

Enlist The Support of a Friend

One of the most difficult challenges associated with trying to lose weight is having to do so alone.  Your close family members and friends who care about your wellbeing can serve as a support system for your weight loss goals.  Request the backing of a friend who can offer recipe ideas, emotional support and perhaps even join you in your efforts.

Building a support system around any goal, including your weight loss goals will make your journey seem less daunting.  Remember that your decisions serve to bring you more happiness and healthiness, and those in your life that you care for will be there for you.

An In-Depth Look at the Technology Behind CoolSculpting

An In-Depth Look at the Technology Behind CoolSculpting

If you’ve been following our blog for some time now, you should have a pretty comprehensive understanding of what exactly CoolSculpting is.  Coolsculpting is the process of using targeted freezing to kill fat cells in your trouble zones on your body that hold on to excess fat.  However, if you’re considering Coolsculpting as a solution to the unwanted fat on your love handles, underarms or virtually anywhere else on your body, it’s a good idea to learn a little about the technology being used.

In this article, we’ll look into the machine that is used during this procedure and how it works to eliminate the fat cells from your body permanently and painlessly.  Feel free to contact the CoolSculpting experts at Renew MD if you have any questions about how coolsculpting works, or take a look at this article, where we discuss what a session of CoolSculpting at Renew MD entails.

As we’ve previously mentioned in our post about cryolipolysis, our ability to freeze away fat cells was first discovered when Harvard doctors noticed that children had developed dimples and experienced a loss of fat in their cheeks after having consumed popsicles and ice cubes.  This revelation, having been labeled “popsicle panniculitis,” triggered much research into the implications of freezing away fat.

For a more information on cryolipolysis, check out this article.

The Machine

The machine that is used for CoolSculpting is called the Zeltiq tool.  This machine delivers targeted cooling above your skin to reach the unwanted fat cells.  It does so via a specially designed cooling applicator that is applied directly to the area with unwanted adipose tissue.

Commonly, machines will utilize a vacuum in order to bring the tissue in question between the cooling panels.  Between these panels is where the controlled cooling takes place.  Currently this procedure is approved by the FDA to treat such areas of the body as the arms, thighs, flanks, back, bra line. Buttock, abdomen, and a few other areas.

Miraculously, this machine accomplishes the desired reduction in fat cells without causing any harm to the skin or to any of the nearby organs or tissues, being that fat cells are uniquely more vulnerable to cold temperatures.  These fat cells, once frozen, leave the body naturally through your own waste elimination.

The machine itself can look rather complex, despite the simplicity of the procedure.  It’s important to note that CoolSculpting is completely safe and is completed within an hour depending on the number of areas you wish you treat.  This non-invasive and painless procedure merely freezes targeted fat cells, and your body will do the rest, working to eliminate now dead fat cells over a period of between three weeks to four months, leaving being your desired results.

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, this machine and this procedure are the ideal option for anyone searching for a solution to their unwanted fat, and for anyone who has had little success with regular diet and exercise.  While this is not intended for weight loss, if you are desiring a minimalization of love handles and stubborn belly fat, CoolSculpting just might be for you!

Don’t let the machinery dissuade you from considering CoolSculpting for your trouble zones.  When this procedure is completed by our experts, the results are astonishing.  Our numerous clients are thrilled with their results and speak highly of this procedure and recommend it often to friends and family as a safe and painless alternative to liposuction.

Contact our team at Renew MD today for a complimentary consultation and to learn if the procedure is right for you.  Feel free to take our quiz to determine your eligibility.

Are You the Ideal CoolSculpting Candidate?

Are You the Ideal CoolSculpting Candidate?

If you are someone who has tried most everything to shed that stubborn fat under your arms, on your stomach or beneath your chin, but have yet to find a safe and sustainable solution, Coolsculpting might be the answer for you.  However, not every person with pesky body fat is a suitable candidate for this non-invasive and pain free procedure.

If you’re in a hurry, feel free to take our quiz to determine if you’re a candidate.  In this article, we will take an in-depth look into exactly who might be the right person to lose fat quickly and effortlessly using Coolsculpting.  After reading, if you feel you fit the criteria, contact our team of Coolsculpting experts at Renew MD to schedule your free consultation.

Are You a Man or a Woman?

Luckily, Coolsculpting works great for everyone.  Regardless of whether you’re a man or a women, you could be considered a perfect candidate.  It is important to note that men and women store fat differently.  Men typically carry excess fat in their mid-section as opposed to their hips, belly and thighs like women do.

Being that women tend to carry more excess fat in their belly, they are often at risk for some more serious long term health problems.  According to Women’s Health Magazine, this excess fat is dangerous due to its proximity to vital organs like the heart and liver.  While Coolsculpting is not to be considered a replacement for a healthy diet and exercise routine to combat health conditions, reducing the number of fat cells near those organs is beneficial to overall wellbeing – not to mention how good you’ll feel about the way you look!

While it’s important for women to manage their body fat, men are not immune to health issues as a result of excess fat.  Particularly, men may experience problems with hormones, sexuality and prostate health. According to Harvard Men’s Health Watch, obesity in men may lead to lowered levels of testosterone, erectile dysfunction, kidney stones and several other problems.

Coolsculpting doesn’t cause men or women to lose weight.  Rather, it eliminates fat cells within the targeted area.  Although ridding yourself of these fat cells is not a solution to obesity or being overweight, if you’re within 30 pounds of your ideal body weight, Coolsculpting is a HUGE step in the right direction towards being healthy and looking great.

Do You Have Specific Areas You Wish to Target?

Coolsculpting works on many different areas of the body.  Whether you’re interested in targeting your inner thighs, back, chin, bra bulge, love handles, stomach or buttocks, this procedure will work to permanently eliminate those fat cells.

There is virtually no area of the body holding excess fat that cannot be addressed with Coolsculpting.  This procedure uses freezing temperatures to kill fat cells in your trouble zones.  Your body then naturally processes those cells and they are eliminated through your waste.  Meaning, once their out of your body, they are gone for good!

Have You Had a Cosmetic Procedure Done Before?

Commonly, people contact our experts with a healthy level of anxiety or concern regarding this procedure.  If you’ve never had a cosmetic procedure before, you may not be sure what to expect.  Coolsculpting is an attractive option for those who are wanting a non-invasive procedure with virtually no down time.

Being that this procedure allows you to go straight back to your everyday activities, many have found it to be a suitable and optimal alternative to surgical procedures aimed at reducing fat in targeted areas.  Ultimately, the results speak for themselves.  You’ll be shocked at the visibly diminishing fat in your trouble zones, without having to endure any discomfort or downtime.

Are You Within 30 Pounds of Your Ideal Weight?

As previously mentioned, Coolsculpting is not a weight loss tool.  It is specifically designed to target fat cells, and thus, it is not a solution for obesity or overall health goals.  If you are currently obese and are not within 30 pounds of your target weight, it is important to take the necessary steps towards losing weight prior to considering Coolsculpting.  Consult your physician for weight loss plans and an exercise routine, so that you can come back to us ready to shed those excess fat cells.

If you are within 30 pounds of your ideal weight, then you may be qualified to receive Coolsculpting.  We always recommend contacting our experts at Renew MD for a consultation to determine your overall eligibility.

Are You Ready to Take the Next Step?

If you’ve read the outlined qualifications and you feel that you may be an ideal candidate for Coolsculpting, then what are you waiting for?  Make the decision to enhance your life and your happiness.  Looking great and feeling healthy is up to you!

Are you:

  • A Person wanting to lose excess body Fat?
  • Ready to look and feel great about your body?

If you’ve answered yes to the above, give our Coolsculpting experts at Renew MD a call to discuss your treatment options.  They will meet with you, preform your procedure and send you on your way to a happier you!  If you have questions or concerns regarding our intake process, take a look at this article.

CoolSculpting: Walking You Through the Process

If you’ve read our blogs before, or if you’ve read about how CoolSculpting works, then you know that the procedure was invented by doctors who were working with children recovering from certain surgeries in the hospital. The children were given popsicles to eat during recovery, and the doctors noticed that the consistent popsicle sucking minimized the cheek fat in the children! Turns out, the science behind CoolSculpting is that fat cells are highly sensitive to cold. By pinpointing the exact temperature that fat cells die, doctors were able to create a new method for fat reduction, without harming other tissues like skin and muscle around the areas being treated!

If you are considering CoolSculpting, we wanted to share with you the process from start to finish, from your first consult to recovery to multiple procedures, so you know what would happen, at least in a typical case of the CoolSculpting method for fat reduction:

  1. You’ll come in to Renew MD Reno for your initial consultation, to discuss with a technician to assess which parts of your body are going to respond best to CoolSculpting. Come prepared by wearing loose-fitting clothing, and understand there is a possibility you’ll be asked to step into a comfortable spa robe. Once the technician and you have reached an agreement for which areas of your body you want treated, the technician can then set up your customized treatment plan and give you pricing and payment options.
  2. Once you set up your first appointment, if you have any time between your consult and appointment, opt for a healthier diet and increased exercise (if you don’t already) to boost the outcome of your procedure.
  3. During the procedure, the technician will place cooling panels on targeted areas of the body and the cold does the rest. It typically takes an hour to treat one area.
  4. After the first treatment, patients commonly see a 25% reduction of fat within 2-3 months following the first treatment. It takes about 60-90 days for the body to eliminate the fat cells from the treated area. After a couple of months, and upon the recommendation of a qualified clinician, patients should receive another treatment. After a similar waiting period, it’s not unusual to see another 25% improvement. The norm for most patients is 2-4 treatments over a 4-8-month period.
  5. While recovery from CoolSculpting is almost a non-issue, some patients report mild bruising, tingling or swelling for a day or two. These effects are largely dependent on the health and fitness levels of the individual.
  6. After you are done with your CoolSculpting procedures, you should be very happy with the results, as most of the fat cells treated will have dissipated and should not return, as they ‘died’ in the procedure. Any fat cells that weren’t reached during your treatments will need extra attention from you by continuous exercise and a healthy diet.

Please call Renew MD Reno for your consultation, or if you have any further questions. We have treated hundreds of patients over the years who’ve had terrific results – you can see their transformations on our Before and After photo gallery page. And if you are one of those happy patients, we’d love to hear about your success story (and I’m sure our prospective clients would like to hear from you, too!).

Does Fat Loss Mean Weight Loss?

In order to tell the difference between losing weight and losing fat, we need to understand what weight loss actually is and what fat loss actually is. Often times people believe there is a correlation between the two; but this is not always the case.

What Fat Loss Really Is

Fat loss is achieved through lipolysis. Lipolysis is the process the body uses to breakdown fat that is found in the food you eat or that is stored in your body, in order to produce energy. Lipolysis most often occurs in the mitochondria of your muscles which is why having more muscle burns more fat.

What Weight Loss Really Is

Weight loss is achieved by expending more energy than you absorb when taking in food or drink. When your body uses up all the energy it has taken in for the day, it still needs energy to function. Your body will reach into its stored reserves from fat and/or muscle which will eventually lead to weight loss.

Which Process Truly Makes a Difference for My Body

Now that we’ve cleared up what exactly fat loss and weight loss are, we can discuss their differences and how it can affect you positively and negatively. As stated earlier, just because you lose fat doesn’t mean you’ll lose weight. It is possible that you are losing fat but gaining muscle and therefore you may see no difference on the scale. Conversely you may lose weight but you might not be losing fat. You can lose water weight as well as muscle weight and see the scale read lower numbers. This does not mean you’ve lost fat. In fact, it’s entirely possible you’ve gained some.

If you are someone who’s intention is to lose weight, there are many ways to go about it. Three effective weight loss strategies are:

  1. Exercise more
  2. Change your diet
  3. Plastic surgery

Diet and exercise can only take some people so far. For whatever reason no matter how hard they hit the gym and no matter how balanced their meal plan is, some people just can’t seem to tone certain areas of their body. Plastic surgery doesn’t appeal to a huge audience for several reasons. Often times people can’t afford elective surgeries or if they can, it may seem a bit too extreme and invasive. This is why CoolSculpting™ is getting so popular.

CoolSculpting to Get Rid of Stubborn Fat

CoolSculpting™ is relatively new and is very welcoming to an extremely wide audience. CoolSculpting™ works on these stubborn fat areas that didn’t disappear after working out and watching diets. This process freezes the fat cells that will then be flushed from the body in ample time.  It is minimally invasive, cost effective, and a less extreme commitment. In addition, some patients see results after a month; but normally, CoolSculpting™ success can take up to 4 months in order to see the full benefit. This is due to the fact that the fat cells need to fully die and the body needs time to eliminate them properly. Anyone remotely interested in getting more information should contact Renew MD Reno.

How Much CoolSculpting Does It Take?

Among the questions about CoolSculpting and how it works is how many treatments are required to do the job.  In this post, we’ll discuss the process, how it works and just how many visits to the medical spa are required to make a lasting difference.

As you may know, CoolSculpting is a revolutionary, non-invasive way to do away with exercise-resistant pockets of fat. Unlike Venus FreezeTM which uses uses radio frequency and multi-pulsed magnetic fields to stimulate collagen, it works by freezing the fat cells.  When they’re exposed to cold for a sufficient period, it kills them.  Over time, the body eliminates the dead cells as it does with thousands of cells every day.  What makes CoolSculpting amazing is that, well, it works.  The body only has so many fat cells.  It cannot and will not make more.  Once they’re gone, they’re gone.  The other remarkable aspect of the treatment is that it’s easy, safe, painless and obviates hours at the gym.

So, How Much CoolSculpting Is Enough?

Sadly, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question.  How many treatments an individual requires depends on the individual, base line fitness, and activity level.  However, it does lead us to a very important point:  CoolSculpting is a fat loss strategy, not a weight loss strategy.  Nor is it a replacement for regular exercise and sensible eating.  Ideal CoolSculpting candidates are individuals in good health, within 30 pounds of their target weight and who wish to refine and sculpt their bodies to improve traditionally problematic areas like the inner thighs, under arms, love handles and belly.

It typically takes an hour to treat one area.  Cooling panels are placed on targeted areas of the body and the cold does the rest.  Commonly, patients see a 25% reduction of fat within 2-3 months following the first treatment.

The Space In Between….

Good things come to those who wait right?  Well, the same holds true here.  In the time between treatments, much depends on the patient.  As fat cells slowly die off and disappear from the body, it’s important to remain active, eat well and sleep soundly.  After the long, cold winter we just experienced, it’s a great time to lace up your shoes and walk regularly, spend time cooking nutritious meals and do everything you can to augment the benefits of your CoolSculpting treatments.

Getting Started

Heck, this is easy.  Click, call or visit the Renew MD med spa of Reno and schedule a CoolSculpting consultation.  You and a member of our team will discuss your goals, what to expect, and address and questions you may have. Men and women across the country are choosing CoolSculpting as a painless, non-invasive and easy solution to fat removal every day.

See if you're a good candidate for CoolSculpting.

Get Close to Your Target Before CoolSculpting

If you’re considering CoolSculpting, you’ve likely heard how effective it is at eliminating stubborn pockets of fat that don’t seem to budge with diet or exercise. You probably also know that it’s affordable, non-invasive and virtually pain-free. Results come quickly and are essentially irreversible as the body does not produce new fat cells to replace those that are frozen and eliminated with each treatment. With all this good news, however, there is a caveat. Not everyone seeking to lose body fat makes a great candidate for CoolSculpting. In this piece, we’ll explore the health factors and physical preconditions that contribute to successful CoolSculpting outcomes.

Lean and Mean

Knowing how CoolSculpting should be understood and used is critical for setting proper expectations. It is a body contouring technique that targets fatty bulges that are resistant to diet and exercise. It is not a comprehensive weight loss strategy or a substitute for sensible eating and regular exercise. Because of this, we advise patients that they should be within 30 pounds of their target weight before seeking treatment. Target weight isn’t a picture you see in a fitness magazine – it refers to a medically healthy weight that you can maintain over the long run. For a lot of us, maintaining target weight has steadily become more tenuous over the years.

The procedure helps patients reduce fat levels by nearly 20 – 23% in targeted areas. Following each treatment, patients can start to see changes within three weeks. They should expect to experience the greatest improvement after about two months. All in all, the body will continue eliminating fat cells for about four months following the procedure.

Why Target Weight Is So Important

Because CoolSculpting causes fat loss, but not weight loss, most practices won’t recommend the procedure until a patient is within a target weight range. This is because the treatment won’t confer appreciable results on significantly overweight individuals. Once a person is within range however, results are plain to see. It is also important for doctors, clinicians and estheticians to be forthright with CoolSculpting candidates about the outcomes they might hope to achieve. Therefore, we and professionals around the country encourage our clientele to achieve a relatively healthy baseline physique prior to treatment. Everyone wants to see patients reach their goals, but it’s important to follow well-documented steps to achieve desired outcomes.

Little Known Facts about CoolSculpting

In seven short years since its discovery and development, CoolSculpting has become the most popular non-invasive alternative to liposuction. It is far safer and much cheaper than surgical options, involves minimal recovery, and requires no anesthetic or incisions.

CoolSculpting is beyond cool. It’s the newest and most effective method of removing fat from the body without diet or exercise, which appeals to LOTS of people.

12 facts most folks don’t know about this revolutionary technique:

  1. The science behind CoolSculpting was discovered by noticing that children who sucked on popsicles frequently developed dimples on their cheeks where cold popsicles contacted the mouth. The dimples are attributable to a loss of fat in the affected area. It turns out that fat hates cold.  More accurately, exposure to cold kills fat cells. Direct contact with cold will kill subcutaneous fat without damaging skin or other tissues. The body then naturally processes and removes the dead fat cells as it does with thousands of dead cells each day.
  2. 70% of people who try CoolSculpting will do so again.
  3. CoolSculpting is extremely effective for removing fat deposits, but does not help address skin sag after the fat is gone. Other non-invasive procedures are available to stimulate collagen and tighten the skin.
  4. You may only need a single treatment to notice at least a 20% fat reduction in the treated area. Each continued treatment should yield comparable results.
  5. It can take up to 2 months to notice a positive change, but often results are reported within 3 to 4 weeks.
  6. It takes approximately an hour to treat a single area with CoolSculpting. Each arm or each love handle is considered a single area.
  7. CoolSculpting may cause very mild discomfort during the treatment. Most patients report a slight tingling sensation until the area becomes numb.  A gel pad is placed between the cooling panels and the skin to mitigate any discomfort.
  8. Treated areas may appear ‘squishy’ immediately after a session. This is a typical physical response and usually subsides within a day.
  9. Your technician should massage the affected area for a few minutes after treatment, helping to dissipate frozen fat cells and restore appearance.
  10. While recovery from CoolSculpting is almost a non-issue, some patients report mild bruising, tingling or swelling for a day or two.  These effects are largely dependent on the health and fitness levels of the individual.
  11. Importantly, CoolSculpting is not a substitute for diet and exercise. It does effectively remove fat without dieting or exercising, but patients cannot have their cake and eat it too.  This means individuals cannot lead a sedentary, unhealthy life and go in for a miracle treatment once a month and expect to look or feel good. Patients are encouraged to maintain healthy habits, including regular exercise and a nutritious diet to compliment the superb effects achieved through CoolSculpting.
  12. We’ve saved the best for last: CoolSculpting results are permanent because the body does not grow new fat cells. Once they’ve been killed and removed, they will not return. However, the process does not kill all the fat cells in an area, so remaining cells can expand if patients neglect to eat sensibly and exercise. CoolSculpting does the work of elimination and patients do the work of maintaining the improvements.

Millions of people have met with phenomenal results from this simple, affordable and non-invasive treatment.  If you’d like to start shedding fat and regaining confidence, please contact Renew MD Medical Spa in Reno today for a friendly consultation.

CoolSculpting: Fending off the Fat

We live in extraordinary times. We at once inhabit a societal environment that constantly works against our natural states of being, yet have access to more information, techniques and alternatives to achieve healthy balances in our lives than ever before. Stress, sleep deprivation, fast food and an affinity for digital devices degrade human health and manifest a most reviled way– body fat.

For most people, jogging 20 miles a week is not realistic. When you’re under-slept, over-worked, addicted to sugar and caffeine and consuming too much Facebook and French fries, hitting the gym and pounding the pavement sound like horrible ideas. The realistic post-work routing often entails the sofa and feasting on whatever the tube and pantry are dishing up. And so, the love handles, muffin tops and flabby thighs grow while self-esteem shrinks. So, what about new techniques and alternatives to Tarzan diets and extreme Neanderthal training?

Crazy Cool Science

Fortunately, there’s a way to reverse the trend. It’s quick, it lasts, and it doesn’t involve sweat, blood or tears. It also doesn’t involve burn-out trips to the gym until the gains we make disappear into disappointment. The solution for eliminating stubborn pockets of fat is called CoolSculpting. Unlike many fat loss solutions peddled today, CoolSculpting is based on simple science proven by renowned doctors. The science behind the procedure is called Cryolipolysis. As difficult as it may to be to pronounce, it’s among the easiest medical principal to understand.

Here’s the skinny: Harvard doctors repeatedly noticed that kids in hospitals and emergency rooms who sucked on popsicles experienced dimpling in their cheeks. This is because facial fat was literally disappearing in the cheeks of these children due to exposure to the cold popsicles. The concept was then tested on other parts of the body – not on children, and no, not with popsicles. The results were astonishing. Simply exposing areas of fat on the body to cold for short amounts of time caused the fat to disappear. More importantly, the fat went away and stayed away. This is because brief exposures to cold will freeze and kill fat cells beneath the skin. In short order, the body eliminates the dead fat cells as it would rid itself of any other dead cellular matter.

Why Fat Stays Away

Sustainable results are the most elusive element of the health and fitness industry. Many of us have participated in fads and rollercoaster schemes. We’ve become believers only to be burned by disillusionment. CoolSculpting works because the body has a fixed number of fat cells. It cannot manufacture more of them. Once fat cells are eliminated from a certain part of the body, it cannot become fat or fatter again unless the individual lapses into an unhealthier lifestyle and allows the remaining fat cells to grow larger than they were before the CoolSculpting treatments.

How It Works

Treatments are simple. Essentially, a cool pad is placed on the skin in the target area and left for a short duration. The pad is not cold enough to be uncomfortable or to harm any bodily tissues. Subcutaneous fat is affected by the exposure and begins to die. An individual will often return for a few or several treatments over the course of a couple of months and invariably, providing he or she is eating sensibly and performing at least moderate exercise, stubborn pockets of fat will disappear. To be clear, while the treatment and results are miraculous, CoolSculpting is not an antidote to gluttony and sloth. Fruits and veggies, lean meats, walking, flexibility and activity are still the underlying precepts to good health that will contribute to a firmer, better-looking body.

Copycats? Opposing Procedures? Fat Fighting Fairy Tales

Not surprisingly, and not long after the advent of CoolSculpting, bold imitators arrived on the scene with their own versions of non-invasive fat elimination procedures. Among the more deficient is the idea of warming the body to likewise disrupt and decimate fat cells. If warming the skin to eliminate underlying fat actually worked, wouldn’t every home in America have a hot tub? Electric blankets would be in every celebrity’s bed. Don’t be fooled folks. If it’s not cool, it doesn’t work. Humans have an aversion to cold. We only apply it to the body intentionally for hematomas and heat stroke.

If you’re tired of human hamster wheels, counting calories and kale smoothies, find out for yourself. Ample research and proof about the CoolSculpting procedure is but a few clicks away. Take a few minutes to learn about the safe, comfortable and non-invasive way to lose stubborn fat we’ve come to call CoolSculpting. After an informative consultation at a reputable clinic, you’ll be a few easy weeks away from seeing the results you’ve wanted for years.

Why Love Handles Hang Around and How CoolSculpting Makes Short Work of Them

Here’s the skinny on love handles. Actually, hold on. Whoever gave them the name ‘love handles’ was clearly deluded by some euphemistic acceptance euphoria, because I don’t know anybody who loves them. Anyway, sometime during our thirties, we develop the much unloved handles—that frustrating fat that attaches to, and sometimes hangs over, the lower sides of our torsos. I think I can feel mine jiggle while I walk. And I’m not sure I’m handling that very well.

Why you get Love Handles in the first place, and, more importantly, in that place

Turns out, physiology is partly to blame. Men are particularly disadvantaged in this case. Through some evolutionary fiasco, we have more fat cells in this region, making it a convenient storage location for the body to dump excess triglycerides, the storage form of fat.   And because fat apparently loves company, it goes where other fat pockets cheerfully reside, which compounds the problem of getting rid of it.

Diets have changed dramatically over the last 40 years, but it’s not just the food that’s fattening us up. Stress and poor sleep (not mutually exclusive by any means) have a lot to do with our burgeoning bellies. When stress goes up and sleep goes down, cortisol levels increase, encouraging the body to store even more fat. So yes, more yoga, more water and more elective flights of stairs. Our lifestyles have changed though. Technology has made us at once more productive, but much more sedentary. And that little phenomenon has brought the gift of love. Love handles to be precise.

So Where is the Love?

Early on in this piece, I promised the skinny and here it is: There’s an incredibly easy way to eliminate stubborn fat without exercise, without broccoli, and without invasive surgery. And you have popsicles to thank. That’s right, popsicles.

CoolSculpting has rapidly become the most popular and successful body contouring treatments available. It was discovered when two doctors studied a strange phenomenon known as ‘popsicle panniculitis’. In straightforward popsicle dialect, that means a loss of cheek fat resulting from sucking on frozen popsicles. Fat hates cold. Who knew?

Exposure of an area of the body to cold temperatures results in the freezing and killing of fat cells under the skin, with no damage whatsoever to any other tissues. Fat cells freeze, die and are naturally eliminated by the body. Doctors have succeeded in pinpointing the optimum temperature for freezing fat without harming other physical structures or causing any real discomfort to the patient.

Remember the problem with love handles? The body basically instructs fat to head to our flanks and stay there. The amazing thing about CoolSculpting is that once fat cells are frozen and eliminated, they can’t grow back. The cells that make us look and feel flabby are gone for good, making it extremely difficult to ‘grow back’ the love we’ve lost.

If you’ve been working hard on your figure, eating well and exercising regularly, but can’t manage to shed your love handles, consider CoolSculpting. Millions of people around the world have achieved their goals in a matter of a few visits. Whether it’s a double chin, flabby underarms, belly fat, or the unhappy size of your inner thighs, CoolSculpting is an excellent option. Get your consultation, get your treatments and get on your way to a better-looking you. Nobody knew it could be this easy, and that’s the cold truth.
